Weather reporting, Volume D: Information for shipping. 2014 Edition (with amendments 29 May 2018)

Abstract

This Volume includes marine meteorological and other related geophysical information necessary for safe and economic conduct of shipping operations, as well as for fishing and other marine activities. To ensure complete area coverage and adequacy of services, the Oceans and Seas have been divided into METAREAS. This Chapter provides charts indicating the limits of METAREAS together with the area co-ordinates followed by the transmission schedule for the full GMDSS service.
