Cytochip is a marine deployable flow cytometer. It uses an microfluidic impedance and fluorescence chip to measure the size and fluorescence emission from particles suspended in seawater. The device can be deployed from a boat, pontoon or potentially an AUV for autonomous sampling potentially up to a depth of 2000 m.
