Underway near - surface measurements are typically made using the cooling water intake of a vessel. This guideline refers to electronically measured parameters typically including temperature and salinity. Additional parameter measurements such as fluorescence and nutrients may also be added. Autosampling devises may also be included in the underway system, thus providing the automatic water sampling for lab an alysis and calibration of the electronic equipment.en_US
